Week 4- Barker, Chapter 7

 Moderns believe that the world is knowable and universal truth is possible (Enlightenment). Yet there is still room for doubt, risk, and ambiguity. Postmodernism sets forth the end of modern metanarratives that guide our worldview. There are no universal truths. Many say that most of the elements of postmodernism were present already in modernism, and others say that modernity has not left us yet.
