Week 5- Response to Harmony’s Blog

Harmony said in her blog responding to Cobb that she is shocked that people would think that God is “on the move” or is “there but elusive.” I agree with Harmony that it is a shame that people’s worldviews have shifted to think that God has abandoned us. This ought to shock us if we understand God as intimately involved in our lives. But I also fully understand how people’s worldviews have shifted. Take the Fight Club quote: “Our fathers were our models for God. If our fathers bailed, what does that tell you about God?” I have seen this idea present everywhere: People in our lives are “on the move” and “there but elusive.” Thus we see God as such. But praise the Lord that he is able to break through these barriers in some of us!
